Life Networking: Your Needs & Value

Hello Mighty People!!!

I wanted to start this group as a way to make clear what my intent is with "The Value/needs questions" and to give another spot to view the needs of others as well as the value.

Many of you answer that question:
What are your needs? with ... I need people for my business, I need people to hear about my business, I need customers/partners etc
What is your value? I can give (whatever it is that your business offers or related)

That's not what I want for those questions. There is space for that stuff further down in your profile questions though and on your site.

What I want here is non-business stuff. Life stuff.

Or check out my page. You could use the extra box on your pages to list more value items or needs or both. I'm working on figuring out how to allow you to add as many boxes as you need. But you could use any feature, the notes, the forum discussions, the groups to list your needs/value.

Familiarize yourself with this phrase:

Then we monetize our networking efforts!


Any questions or wanna talk please just ask, write, phone, post.

Many of you are business people and come from business networks. I want to clarify this is not a business network. It can lead you to even more business than even a business networks can (I believe that .... waaay more) but we must understand how and why and that this is not a business network. It is a Social Network that allows us to do what I call LIFE NETWORKING (which includes business). Big difference.

We're a Social Network/A Life Networking hub. Not a Business Network:

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE feel free to put your business info up, video's, ads etc....

Just keep the principle in mind:
We build our networks by helping others with their needs!
We then monetize our networks and our networking efforts!


View it like this: A hangout spot in the hood. A safe one, lol. Where people hang out and talk about everything, make friends ... have fun etc, etc... but here you come and you come through hollarin' "hey everybody join my business, buy my products". Everybody turns their heads as you come by. LOL. Or runs and clears the street. No, this is not what we wanna do. What you do, you hang out with them and talk and have fun and ask "so what are you into? Really? I might know someone that could help you with that, if I don't there is a good chance I could meet someone... let me show you where they are...see that guy over there, he knows 'such and such' and 'so and so' who knows 'dude' that knows 'this girl' that knows all about your thing you're into. Let me introduce you." Mean while you've added all these people to your network. That guy is happy you helped him, the other person is happy to help. And everyone of them have needs and they know someone that knows someone that knows someone that could help them. You do that over and over and it starts to multiply and along the way you mention to all of them your business in a 'by the way' type of fashion. LOL .... that's what we're trying to do here. As long as you're building the right way you could even prospect them directly for business, they will be a lot more open to it.

Choice 1: Go back to the first guy and ask hey you wanna join my business, or buy my product. (No not today)
Choice 2: Build your network by asking him what's important to him and helping him build his network in order to get help with it, which becomes your network and let your network of hundreds know, this is my business and as it keeps growing everyone is introduced to your business. Exciting right??

Here are the steps to do it our way. These steps are very important to take in the right order.

1. Join
2. Needs? Know/list your needs (needs you don't mind sharing...un-business related)
3. Value? Know list your value (Not like a resume but value things that you don't mind sharing for free, un-business related) PS - the business stuff will come later
4. Share them: Share your needs -- Share your value
5. Exponential growth: build your network, help others build their networks, invite everyone to join 'Mighty People' so we could keep them focused on building their networks by helping others with their needs.

You go through those steps yourself and 'you or we or both' will go through them with every person you invite to join us.
*** All these steps should be done as Life Networking steps not Business Networking steps.

THEN - next comes the Business Networking. NOW, you add:

6. Monetizing your networking
(if you follow these steps in order, you should be able to rapidly build your networks, THEN have many more prospects and better prospects because they will be the ones that really needs what you are offering, better referrals higher quality because they really needs your products,services are really happy, weren't sold or pressured etc)

Memorize this! Remember it:
We build our networks by helping others with their needs!
Then we monetize our networking efforts!

Thanks for letting me join your group.

Networking should be people and friendships first, and then sharing business concepts if there is common ground to be helping each other with.

This link below, will explain that, and it is not a 'PITCH' to look at a business opportunity. The lessons to be learned here will help you attract more people ro your network and they can also see why too many people have failed in Network Marketing and Social Media Networking.

Thanks Ted for the invite and for clarifing what our needs and our values pretain to.. I think you pretty much explained it to the T where everyone will understand. I'll check-out my page and see if I need to change my answers...lol I'm really loving the Might People more and more as we go along...Thanx again for the outline of how this actually works and what you're looking for...This is great! Thanks Ted for educating me on the concept of Life networking (your needs & values). I thought I understood the concept and now I have a better picture of the value of this concept. I equate Life Networking as a self improvement program since we cannot be success only by trying to force someone to join our business. We have to first establish some type of relationship with the individual and recognize their needs and values which will benefit each other.

I should know this concept better then anyone. I am Registered Nurse and the most important concept in nursing is the nurse/client therapeutic relationship. I cannot expect to help my client's improve their health until they genuinely feel that I am concerned about their well-being. If their is no trust their is no communication. Once this relationship is established then the client will be comfortably to opening up to me and reveal buried information about their past, childhood, abuse, fears, etc that hinders or maybe a contributing factor their present state of health.

This is also true in starting a business without knowing our WHY's, strengths, and weakness we may not experience immediate success. One of my quotes that always referred to when writing a paper in nursing school was a quote by Helen Keller ~ "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."

I am so happy to be apart of the Mighty People Social Networking community and sharing my knowledge and skills as a nurse and networking experience so we can all be successful. Janice Dennis
