Guidelines: Business Advertising/Promotion

Things will not be in the proper order yet.  But I just wanna start posting guidelines as I think about it.  We'll get them in order in the future.

It's very important to advertise business in the right places and in the right way here. We are a different kind of network. We are a life network. Just so happens that business is a part of life. But we are not a business network and life just so happens to be a part of business. LOL

We really want to work the system.

Our primary reason for inviting you here is not to advertise to our members but to help you build your network, which will help you and help everyone here.

What's better: Talking to everyone that you meet about your business.  They are either interested or not.  Agitated or not.  And it's over.

OR: Talk to everyone that you meet about what is important in their lives.
And them talking to everyone in their lives about what is most important or fun to them
And everyone that they know and everyone that they know, etc, etc ... and they are all members of your network, for their own reasons and you will always be able to remind them ALL of what your business is and what you offer.

** I'm excited about making that happen for us all.

How ever we are very interested in supporting our black businesses, so there are actually many ways to let us know what you do.  It's important that we stick to these however.


1. On your own mp page. Do whatever you want with it. (Then attract people to your page.)
2. Under your profile: there are business questions and places for three links to websites
3. Your signature: when posting comments, making forum posts, sending e-mails, you can and should have a signature, with a small message and a link to your business.
4. Send Invitations to your page, your blogs, groups etc.   Send 'Events Invites'
5. Featured Business section of The Mighty People Newsletter: let me know if you would like to go on the waiting list. It is free, for now.
6. Use your blog
7. Start your own discussion in the Forum under the "General! Any topic!" Section.
8. Start a Group
9. The Mighty People Mailing List: Please don't send full ads, but you are welcome to write about any topic, send tips, whatever and include a link or signature or even tie in the whole thing to your business.

We don't mind you promoting at all, as long as you just make it personal (a personal message typed from you) and try to add value to the list via your mailings.

The way you send to The MP Mailing list: send an e-mail to mightypeople@pro-mo-tions.com
Everyone on the list will get it.  They will be able to reply back to you. You as a member of the list will get all mailings sent to the list as well.


*** Open to ideas. Keep in mind, the reason for all this is so that we use this for what it's REAL VALUE is ... to build a Life Network for ourselves by 'helping others with their true needs'. This should be your largest, warmest and best network. It will do the most good for others and probably bring you the most business, all that you could imagine in the long run. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! Let's be absolutely sure about what goes around from us.
