How to use The Ning Network to your advantage

***How to use the Ning Network to help your networking efforts***

Mighty People uses a Ning Network. Which mean you can automatically be integrated with hundreds of other Ning sites and millions of people. This can be a negative or a positive depending on if you know how to do it properly and effectively.

Dare to be different. Don't do what everyone else is doing. Guess what it doesn't work anyway. Don't just join and send out mass e-mails. People have become immune to it. You could do some of that but don't over do it. Really what you should do, is get to know people. Make friends for real or at least show you do care and are real and not just a walking advertisement. Attract people into your network and then you'll be able to tell what their needs really are.

STEPS

1. Go to the Ning link at the top of your page, upper left hand corner.  Click on the icon.
2. Pick a few topics you are interested in and join the sites.
3. Recommended sites:
   Join these sites if you are a business owner or want to be: Sta.rtup.biz, Blackbusinessspace, BlackStartUpBiz,
   
4. Be sure to use the same ID & password when you sign up for any new Ning sites. This is what integrates them all to you and it saves you a few steps in registering for each new site.
5. Participate occasionally in each site and make friends. Where ever posible use template in communications to save time. But do not be limited to just mass e-mails. Sometimes it's ok and I'll show you how to do that.
6. Her go some daily or weekly suggested activity numbers:
   ** Make Friends/Invites: 20
   ** Make Networking Contacts/Conversation: 40
   ** MightyPeople Invites: 10
   ** PMG invites: 10
   
   Don't get scared of these numbers.  They are for those that are serious and have time to invest.  You should do all the activities but the quantity is up to you. Consistency is the key.
